Over 35 mobile phones stolen during PTI rally in Peshawar

More than 3 dozen mobile phones of the attendees were stolen during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) rally held against the alleged election rigging in Peshawar.
The development was confirmed by the police of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's (KP) capital.
As per details, the rally was held to protest against the alleged rigging in the February 8 polls at Peshawar's Kabotar chowk on Sunday, where cash, mobile phones and other valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees were stolen by gangs of pickpockets and thieves.
Dozens of victims had filed cases of theft in the police stations, officials said.
According to the police, heavy contingents of the police force were deployed in the rally for security, in which several suspects were also detained by the law enforcers.
The police officials said they were investigating the cases.
