Over 50% youth believe marriage between PTI, PML-N supporters is 'difficult': survey

Almost 44 percent Pakistanis believe that marriage between individuals with different political ideologies is difficult, according to a survey conducted by Gallup Pakistan.
The survey highlighted the challenges of maintaining relationships between families and voters with opposing political views, particularly between supporters of PTI, PML-N, and other rival parties.
The survey results revealed that 48 percent women and 40 percent men consider relationships between supporters of different political parties to be challenging.
Similarly, 49 percent rural population and 35 percent urban residents share this view.
Notably, the perception of difficulty in relationships based on political differences is highest among youth, with 56 percent respondents up to 30 years of age believing that marriage between people with different political views is difficult.
The survey revealed that political differences can create barriers to marriage and social harmony in the country.
