A recent survey conducted by Gallup Pakistan has revealed that a majority of Pakistanis are committed to boycotting products from Israel and its allies in response to the country's atrocities against Palestinians.
The survey found that 62 percent of respondents vowed to continue the boycott, while 24 percent opposed it.
The boycott sentiment was strongest among young people, with 67 percent of those under 30 supporting the boycott.
The age group has been particularly vocal in their condemnation of Israeli actions and has been at the forefront of the boycott movement.
In addition to the youth, other demographics also showed a strong commitment to the boycott.
Men and women across various age groups expressed their support, with 65 percent men and 58 percent women saying they would continue to boycott Israeli products.
The boycott movement was more pronounced in urban areas, with 68 percent city dwellers supporting the boycott, compared to 59 percent in rural areas.
The survey highlights Pakistan's solidarity with the Palestinian cause and its willingness to take a stand against Israeli actions.
The situation in Palestine remains dire as Israel has intensified its criminal offensives in Gaza.
The Gaza crisis has claimed over 39,000 lives and left more than 89,727 wounded, according to Palestinian authorities.
On July 31, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was killed in a missile attack on his residence in Tehran along with one of his bodyguards.
In its first official statement after the high-profile killing, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said Haniyeh was killed by “a short-range projectile".
"[...] was killed by a short-range projectile with a warhead of about 7kg [15.4lb] accompanied by a severe explosion from outside his room," the statement read.
The IRGC, in the statement, said that his assassination had been “planned and carried out by the Zionist regime” and supported by the “criminal government of the US”.
"Our response will be severe and at the appropriate time, place and manner.”
