Pakistan announces 500 scholarships for Bangladeshi students

Pakistan has announced that it will provide 500 scholarships to Bangladeshi students over the next five years.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar announced the launch of the Pakistan–Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor during his visit to Bangladesh in August 2025.

Under this initiative, Pakistan will offer 500 scholarships to Bangladeshi students over a five-year period.

The spokesperson further stated that the second phase of the Pakistan–Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor was launched in Dhaka on 10 May 2026, while a Bangladeshi delegation is currently visiting Pakistan for a three-week programme under the initiative.

In addition, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar expressed satisfaction over the positive progress in relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
