Weather analysts on Tuesday predicted rough weather conditions in Pakistan for the next two weeks.
Over 80 percent of the areas of Pakistan, including Sindh, Punjab and Balochistan, are expected to witness high temperatures from the beginning of the second week of May, said weather analyst Jawad Memon.
Memon predicted that several areas of the country are likely to experience a surge in mercury from May 18 to 20, which is expected to go up to 43 to 48 degrees Celsius.
The plain areas of Punjab and Sindh are anticipated to reach as high as 50 degrees Celsius, while a significant increase in temperature is expected in Balochistan and northern parts of Pakistan.
Meanwhile, according to the forecast, sea breeze would appear protective against high temperatures in Karachi and other coastal areas.
As per the forecast, during the second half of May, the temperature could be raised from 36 to 38 degrees Celsius in the port city.
Apart from this, the weatherman further said that there will be a possibility of light rain in the northern part of the country, and pre-monsoon rains may start in the last days of June.
