Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said that Indian fighter jets launched air-to-surface missile attacks on three Pakistan Air Force (PAF) bases —Nur Khan, Murid, and Shorkot — but confirmed that all military assets at these locations remain unharmed.
"India, continuing its naked aggression, has targeted PAF Nur Khan base, PAF Murid base, and Shorkot base with missile strikes. According to available information, all PAF assets are safe," the DG ISPR told media.
He further said that India has expanded its military actions beyond Pakistan, firing missiles into Afghan territory and using drones to carry out additional strikes. DG ISPR said that all attacks have been foiled by Pakistan defence system.
Earier, he said that India launched six ballistic missiles from Adampur, a town located in the Jalandhar district of Indian Punjab, with five of the missiles reportedly landing in the Amritsar region and one falling near Adampur itself.
In a late night press statement, DG ISPR said India has launched missiles into its own territory, affecting areas inhabited by Sikh populations. He termed the incident as “a shocking development and a provocation of the highest order.”
“This act defies logic and is a sign of internal instability,” he said, expressing sympathy with the Sikh and other minority communities in Indian Punjab.
