Pakistan urges peaceful resolution to Iran crisis

Islamabad: Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andarabi has stated that Pakistan seeks a peaceful resolution to the issues concerning Iran.
Speaking at a weekly briefing in Islamabad, Andarabi said that Pakistan is closely monitoring the situation in Iran and remains committed to supporting a peaceful settlement.
The spokesperson emphasised that Pakistan advocates for peace and stability in the region and hopes that Iran will soon overcome its current crisis.
Regarding reports of restrictions on the US immigration visa process, Andarabi said that Pakistan is aware of these developments.
He added that the United States is reviewing its visa policy, which Pakistan regards as part of the US’s internal immigration procedures.
He further noted that the statements from US authorities on the restrictions have been brief and that Pakistan is in contact with US officials to obtain complete information on the matter.
On another issue, the Foreign Office spokesperson stated that any attack on Somalia’s sovereignty is unacceptable.
He noted that at the OIC Foreign Ministers’ meeting, Pakistan reiterated its position on Somaliland and strongly condemned Israel’s recognition of Somaliland.
