The Pakistani passport made noticeable progress on the Henley Passport Index 2025, climbing into the top 100 global passports for the first time in years. Green passport holders now enjoy visa-free access to 32 countries, indicating progress in international travel freedom.
According to the Henley Passport Index 2025, Singapore retained the top position globally, followed by Japan and South Korea in joint second place, while Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, and Spain share third place.
In regional comparisons, Turkey ranks 49th, China 64th, and India stands at 82nd. Meanwhile, Yemen, Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan occupy the bottom of the list, ranked 100th to 103rd, respectively.
Last year, Pakistan’s passport ranked among the bottom four globally. Its current ranking, up by two positions, reflects a gradual improvement in the country’s global perception and travel freedom.
