A video of a Pakistani woman candidly sharing her experience of living alone in a European country without her family and relatives is going viral on social media.

From cultural differences to the complexities of navigating life in a foreign land, her video sheds light on the challenges that can arise when choosing to live abroad.

The video serves as a cautionary tale, as the woman urges parents to reconsider marrying their daughters to individuals living abroad.

In the video shared social media platform 'X', the woman says, “We use to say with such pride that we are going to America, London, or Europe, but once we get there we realize how life can be challenging and difficult to us living all alone with children. We often speak ill of our mother-in-law but at least we can leave our child with her for ten minutes so that we can cook and bathe peacefully.”

The woman, accompanied by her children, further said, “Living abroad is very difficult, especially for women. Men can go to work, but the most difficult work is to take care of your child while being alone in a foreing country even if your husband is supportive.”

She maintained that wishing a woman to marry and settle abroad is akin to cursing her.

“Life in Europe is so disgusting because there are no desi communities here to mingle with, and no desi food, all I feel is that I am in jail, with a limited amount of money,” the woman stated, while crying.

Her heartfelt plea advises parents to carefully consider the potential hardships their daughters might encounter in settling abroad after marriage. She requested parents to not let their daughters go away from them.
