Podcaster Rehan Tariq reportedly taken into custody by NCCIA at Lahore airport

Podcaster Rehan Tariq was taken into custody by officials of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) after arriving at Lahore's Allama Iqbal International Airport from London, according to his relatives.

Family members said Rehan Tariq landed at the airport shortly after 1am on Tuesday when he was stopped by authorities before NCCIA personnel arrived and escorted him away.

A close relative claimed that the podcaster was taken into custody by NCCIA officials at the airport. However, the reason for his detention was not immediately known.

When contacted, an NCCIA spokesperson declined to comment on the matter.

No official statement has yet been issued regarding the circumstances of Rehan Tariq's detention or whether any charges have been filed against him.
