Pakistani security forces have arrested 10 suspected operatives linked to India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) in coordinated raids carried out in Punjab and Karachi. The joint operation was conducted by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) along with Punjab and Sindh police.

The CTD Punjab apprehended six suspected facilitators of the Indian intelligence agency in multiple districts of the province. The detained individuals were allegedly involved in funding, facilitating, and conducting acts of sabotage on behalf of RAW.

Authorities reported that one suspect was caught red-handed while transferring funds from Dubai to support terrorist operations in Pakistan.

CTD officials also disclosed that one of the suspects had received a bomb from the Indian Border Security Force (BSF). The same network had been planning attacks on a mosque and a railway station in Bahawalpur, which were successfully foiled before execution.

In Karachi, a joint operation led by the Sindh Police Special Investigation Unit (SIU) and intelligence personnel resulted in the arrest of four more RAW operatives from the Quaidabad area of Malir.

Addressing a press conference, SSP SIU Shoaib Memon confirmed that the suspects had been relaying sensitive information to Colonel Ranjit of the Indian BSF.

Weapons, including an SMG rifle, an MP5, two pistols, and a stolen vehicle, were recovered from the suspects.

Investigations revealed they were sharing geo-tagged data of military and CPEC installations in Bin Qasim, sensitive Navy and Army positions in Sujawal, and information regarding troop movements.

The primary accused, Muhammad Khan alias Blue, has reportedly been spying for Indian intelligence since 2009. He allegedly took photographs of sensitive locations using his mobile phone, then crossed into India where data would be extracted by Indian military officers.

He and his co-accused, all fishermen from Sujawal, are believed to have traveled to India multiple times for training by RAW.
