Federal Investigation Agency's (FIA) Cyber Crime Cell has booked several pro-PTI YouTubers for allegedly spreading false news about the Lahore 'rape' case.

The FIR related to the Lahore incident has been registered by the college principal with the FIA Cyber Crime Cell. It has named 38 individuals as accused.

Among those accused are Raja Ahsan Naveed, Faisal Pasha, Farid Shehzad, Faisal Shehzad, Umar Qazi, Jameel Farooqui, and Ayaz Amir.

Others mentioned in the case include Imran Riaz Khan, Farah Iqrar, Tayyaba Raja, Naeem Bukhari, Sami Ibrahim, Shakir Mehmood Awan, Rabia Malik, Muqaddas Awan, Ahmad Bobak, Imrana Mughal, Mian Umar Advocate, Misbah Advocate, Saqib Jameel, Syed Zeeshan Aziz, and several others.

A few days ago, a story about the alleged rape of a student at a private college in Lahore went viral on social media.

The claims suggested that a first-year female student at Punjab College's women-only Gulberg campus had been sexually assaulted by a college security guard.

Following the spread of this news, students launched a series of protests that continued for several days, resulting in injuries to around two dozen students.

The protesting students also claimed that the college administration was allegedly attempting to cover up the incident and had destroyed all available evidence related to the matter.

In response to the violent protests, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz ordered an investigation into the incident.

The security guard accused by the protesters was also taken into custody by the police. The Lahore police made multiple public appeals, requesting anyone with information related to the incident or the alleged victim to come forward and share it with the authorities.

Yesterday, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz stated that the story about the alleged rape of the student at the private college in Lahore was entirely fabricated and had no basis in reality.

She claimed that this "dangerous plot" was orchestrated by a political party that, after repeated failures in spreading unrest, organizing rallies, and holding sit-ins, resorted to this.
