Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who is currently in London, criticised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for organising protests abroad against political opponents, saying it seems that the party is destined to continue picketing.

The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader, along with his daughter and CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sahrif, spoke to journalists outside his Avenfield residence in London.

“They [PTI] encouraged misbehavior during their time in power, and they continue to promote it in opposition. They did the same before coming into government,” Sharif remarked.

He further condemned PTI supporters for “chasing cars and throwing eggs and tomatoes,” urging them, “If protest is your destiny, then at least carry it out with dignity.”

Sharif expressed concern about young boys being “forced to chase cars, chant offensive slogans, and disrespect others,” adding that such behavior goes against “our religious and cultural values.”

His remarks came in response to an incident in Switzerland, where Punjab’s Chief Minister was reportedly heckled by alleged PTI supporters.
