The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on Friday once again moved the Supreme Court, asking for access to party founder Imran Khan and demanding that his medical report be shared with the party.
Barrister Gohar Ali Khan raised serious concerns about Imran Khan’s health and said a formal memorandum has been submitted to the Supreme Court registrar. Through this request, PTI asked that Imran be allowed to meet his personal doctors and family members, and that his medical details be officially provided.
The memorandum repeats the party’s demand that immediate access to Imran Khan be granted to his family, doctors, lawyers and friends.
Speaking to reporters, Gohar said this was the tenth time PTI had approached the Supreme Court regarding Imran Khan’s situation. He added that the party had also knocked on the doors of high courts on 16 different occasions.
He stressed that Imran Khan’s health was not just a concern for PTI lawmakers but an issue that mattered to the entire nation.
Gohar pointed out that the party had still not been given any medical reports or information about the procedure Imran Khan recently underwent.
