Rain and thunderstorms forecast for Karachi on Feb 17

The Meteorological Department has forecast rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in Karachi under the influence of a western weather system.

According to the department, a western disturbance is expected to reach the western parts of the country on 16 February.

Under the impact of this system, Karachi is likely to experience thunderstorms and rainfall on 17 February, along with stronger-than-usual dusty winds.

Dense fog may also affect visibility in Karachi tomorrow.

Rain with thunder is expected in Dadu, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Jamshoro, Larkana, Jacobabad and Khairpur districts of the Karachi division during the evening and night of 16 to 17 February.

Meanwhile, most parts of the province are expected to experience cold nights with generally dry weather conditions.
