Astronomers have predicted dates for Ramzan, Eid ul-Fitr and Eid ul-Adha for the year 2026 based on expected moon sightings.

According to the predictions, the moon of Ramzan in Pakistan is expected to be seen on the eve of 18th February 2026. If this prediction comes true, the first day of Ramadan in Pakistan will fall on the 19th February 2026.

The astronomers have also predicted the date of Shawwal moon, marking the end of Ramzan. According to the forecast, it can be sighted on the 20th of March, making Eid ul-Fitr to be on the 21st of March 2026.

As for the prediction of the Hajj season, the Dhul-Hijjah moon may be sighted on the 17th of May, according to the astronomers. Consequently, making Eid ul-Adha fall on the 27th of May 2026, if confirmed.

These dates, however, are preliminary astronomical predictions, and the official dates will be announced by the Ruet-e-Hilal committee, near each occasion.
