The CEO of Pakistan Railways has announced a reward of PKR 50,000 for gatekeeper Madad Ali, who prevented a potential accident involving the Shalimar Express.

Madad Ali bravely ran along the track to alert the train driver about the imminent danger, allowing the driver to take necessary precautions.

In recognition of his heroic efforts, Madad Ali has been invited to the Railway Headquarters, where he will be presented with a certificate of appreciation and a reward.

"Madad Ali represents the true spirit of Pakistan Railways, and we salute his courage," said CEO of Railways Aamir Ali Baloch.

Earlier, Pime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif also paid tribute to Madad Ali, a gatekeeper who risked his life to prevent a major accident involving the Shalimar Express at a railway crossing near Nawab Shah railway station.

Madad Ali saved lives of hundreds of people by risking his own life, the prime minister said in a statement issued by the PM Office.

The prime minister lauded Madad Ali’s bravery, saying, “he put his life on the line to save countless others.”

He emphasized that Madad Ali’s selfless spirit is an inspiration to all, saying, “We can all learn from his altruistic passion.” The entire nation is proud of you, Madad Ali, the prime minister added.
