Senate passes resolution allowing peaceful political rallies

The Senate today passed a resolution recognizing the right of the political parties to hold peaceful political rallies and gatherings across the country as enshrined in the Constitution.
Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Azam Nazeer Tarar moved the resolution.
The house asked all provincial governments to abide by constitutional rights and allow peaceful political gatherings and rallies.
The Senate today passed three bills.

These include “The Prevention of Trafficking in Persons (Amendment) Bill, 2025”, “The Prevention of Smuggling of Migrants (Amendment) Bill, 2025” and “The Emigration (Amendment) Bill, 2025.
Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar laid the copy of the “Money Bill the Income Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2025 before the house.
The house has now been adjourned to meet again on Monday at 4 pm.
