At least seven people were killed and 19 others injured in separate incidents caused by heavy rains, windstorms and flash floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 48 hours, according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).

The PDMA said that the deceased included two men, one woman and four children, while the injured comprised seven men, one woman and 11 children. The authority said that 38 houses were damaged due to the severe weather, including 36 partially damaged and two completely destroyed.

The incidents were reported from several districts, including Khyber District, Lower Dir, Upper Dir, Mardan, Shangla, Bajaur and Lower Chitral.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Meteorological Department has warned of more heavy rain, windstorms and possible hailstorms in various parts of the province until July 3.

The department cautioned that weak structures, solar panels, electricity poles and billboards could be damaged, while mountainous areas remain at risk of landslides and local streams may overflow.

Authorities have advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel, stay away from vulnerable tourist spots and follow official weather advisories.
