Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf leader Shahbaz Gill has requested COAS Genral Asim Munir to take notice of alleged attempt of stealing Imran Khan's mandate in elections.
In his post on X Gill said: "Army Chief General Asim Munir, your intervention is requested and needed in this moment. The people of Pakistan have given their mandate in favor of Imran Khan."
Some sinister elements are trying to steal the public mandate and rig the election results and are also trying to 'use' our armed forces to suppress people’s peaceful reaction against election rigging, he added.
"I request Army Chief General Asif Munir, to take action against these sinister attempts. Pakistan Army is our national institution and we own and respect this institution as citizens of Pakistan. As the Head of the Pakistan Army, please step in as the leader of this institution and reprimand these negative elements from using our national institution against the people of Pakistan."
Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf had been protesting across Pakistan against alleged rigging in February 8 polls.
