In a heartwarming and unconventional event, four sons from the Shangla district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa fulfilled the long-standing wish of their 90-year-old father, Maulana Saifullah, by arranging his second marriage after the passing of his first wife.

The unique ceremony took place in the Bisham area, where Maulana Saifullah was married to a 55-year-old woman.

Honoring their father’s desire to remarry, the sons personally found a suitable match and organised the entire wedding, including a modest dowry of one tola of gold.

The joyous occasion was attended not only by the immediate family but also by Maulana Saifullah’s grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren.

Neighbours and locals also joined in the celebrations, turning the wedding into a community event.

Residents of the area praised the family’s gesture, calling it a sign of evolving social values, where love, companionship, and emotional fulfillment are celebrated regardless of age.

They also lauded the sons' example of respecting their father’s wishes and prioritising his happiness, even in the later stages of life.
