KARACHI: The Sindh High Court’s constitutional bench has directed the police to take action against beggars and transgender individuals soliciting alms at traffic signals.
The court issued the order while hearing a petition against transgender persons begging at traffic signals.
The ruling instructs law enforcement agencies to ensure that no beggars, including transgender individuals, men, women, or children, are present at traffic intersections.
The court emphasized that these individuals not only inconvenience commuters but also harass the public.
