KARACHI: The Sindh government announced a public holiday in the province on Tuesday, August 20, to observe the Urs mark the Urs of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai.

A notification regarding the August 20 holiday has been issued by the Sindh government.

As per the notification, autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils under the Sindh government will be closed on August 20.

The notification does not specifically mention a holiday for educational institutions, including schools, colleges, and universities. However, a public holiday generally implies that these institutions will remain closed.
