Sindh schools to remain closed on Chehlum-e-Imam Hussain (RA)

All the schools, colleges and universities in Karachi and the rest of Sindh province will remain closed on August 26 (Monday) on the account of Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), the education department said on Friday.

The decision was taken by a steering committee of the provincial education department, according to the notification.

"All the public and private educational institutes under the administrative control of the College Education Department, Government of Sindh shall remain closed on Monday 26th August 2024," read the notification.

The notification further added that all private and public schools under the administrative control of the School Education and Literacy Department will remain closed.

The mourners will observe the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) on Monday across the province with religious zeal and reverence.
