SIUT warns public against fake social media posts misusing Prof. Adib Rizvi's name

The Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) has issued a public warning against fake content circulating on social media that falsely uses the name and image of renowned nephrologist and transplant specialist Professor Adib Rizvi.

According to SIUT, misleading videos and social media posts are making false claims that the institute or Professor Adib Rizvi is promoting, endorsing, or recommending specific medicines, treatments, medical services, or other healthcare-related products.

The institute clarified that such content is entirely fraudulent and has no connection with SIUT or Professor Adib Rizvi.

SIUT has urged the public not to trust any social media post or video claiming that the institute or Professor Adib Rizvi has endorsed or supported any product or service unless the information has been verified through official channels.

The institute emphasized that it does not issue such announcements through unofficial accounts or unverified platforms.

The institute further warned that fraudulent medical claims can mislead the public and may expose people seeking treatment to financial loss or misuse of their personal information.

SIUT advised citizens not to act on medical claims made in unverified videos or social media posts. It also urged the public not to share money, bank details, or personal information in response to such messages and to verify any announcements or information related to SIUT only through the institute's official communication channels.

The institute also appealed to the public to identify and report fake accounts or suspicious content to help prevent others from falling victim to online scams.

According to SIUT, the advisory has been issued to protect the public from misinformation, fraudulent promotional campaigns, and fake claims falsely attributed to the institute and Professor Adib Rizvi.
