Residents of Karachi's southern parts endured sweltering conditions as the hot and humid weather soared, with a "feels like" temperature of 45 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.

According to reports from a private weather station, the temperature in the southern parts of Karachi, including Clifton and DHA, reached 36.8°C, accompanied by a humidity level of 49%.

It's important to note that the perceived temperature, or "feels like" temperature, varies across different parts of Karachi. Factors like humidity, which is higher near the coastline, contribute to this difference.

For instance, areas like Malir's Tariq Bin Ziad society experienced a "feels like" temperature of 41°C.

The "feels like" temperature accounts for how the weather actually feels to individuals, taking into consideration factors like air temperature and wind speed.

This perception is influenced by the interaction between the human body and the temperature radiated from the Earth's surface.

These conditions align with the Pakistan Meteorological Department's forecast, indicating that the hot and humid weather in Karachi is expected to persist for the next three days.
