Under the guidance of Chief Justice Yahya Afridi, the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan has successfully resolved more than 8,000 cases within the past 100 days.

The SC has shown a heightened commitment by adjudicating 8,174 cases while simultaneously receiving 4,963 new cases from October 28, 2024, to February 6, 2025, thereby alleviating the backlog of pending cases, as stated in an official announcement.

During this timeframe, a total of 4,963 new cases were filed in the apex court, according to the statement.

The Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) has examined 46 complaints lodged against judges.

Of these, 40 complaints have been resolved, as indicated in the statement.

The Judicial Council has requested initial responses from five judges concerning five specific complaints.
