UAE president to visit Pakistan on Dec 26

UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan will arrive in Islamabad on Friday, December 26, 2025, for an official visit.

During the stay, he is set to hold a meeting with PM Shehbaz Sharif and other senior Pakistani dignitaries. The focus of these meetings would be on strengthening bilateral relations, economic cooperation, and mutual areas of interest. 

According to diplomatic sources, the visit by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed is a reflection of the longstanding cooperation in political, economic and cultural spheres of the two countries.

Talks on expansion of trade, investment and strategic partnership are also expected during the crucial visit.

According to officials, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed’s trip to Pakistan holds significant importance as it is meant to reinforce collaboration between UAE and Pakistan in priority sectors like energy and infrastructure. Historically, Pakistani leaders have shown keen interest in Emirati involvement in key development initiatives in Pakistan. 

A formal welcome has been planned for the President’s arrival in Islamabad. A joint statement on bilateral cooperation may be issued at the end of his visit.
