Nidal Ahmed, the teenager whom American woman Onijah Andrew Robinson traveled to Karachi for, has finally spoken out, revealing that he has known her for the past two and a half years.

In an interview with a YouTube channel, 19-year-old Nidal shared details about his relationship with Onijah, clarifying that he had been in Karachi the entire time and never left the city.

Nidal confirmed that he had been in a relationship with the US woman, adding that they had been in touch for over two years and that her decision to come to Pakistan was entirely her own.

“She lived in Pakistan for three months and stayed at a hotel. During that time, my family and I were in regular contact with her. She even went shopping with my mother and sisters, they’re still in touch,” he said.

Nidal denied abandoning Onijah, stating that they are still in contact and that she never accused him of betrayal. He accused media of blowing things out of proportion without verifying facts.

“I have heard people say I left or cheated on her, but that’s not true. We still talk. There’s not a single video where she says I abandoned her,” he emphasized.

When asked about rumors of their marriage, Nidal responded, “We are not married. I don’t know why Onijah is saying that.”

He concluded by saying, “Like any couple, we love each other. Every relationship has its ups and downs. We're working on different projects and people will see us together again soon.”

Onijah, 33, arrived in Karachi on October 11 with hopes of marrying 19-year-old Nidal Memon, whom she had met online. However, her plans unraveled when Memon’s family rejected the marriage, and he disappeared.

Despite multiple efforts to repatriate her, Onijah persistently refused to leave and repeatedly visited her alleged boyfriend’s residence, hoping to find him. Her bizarre ordeal soon turned into a viral sensation, with local media and social platforms closely tracking her actions.
