The latest global passport rankings have placed Singapore at the top, while Pakistan ranks among the weakest, positioned fourth from the bottom.

According to the Henley Passport Index, Singapore has retained its leading position, offering its citizens visa-free access to 192 destinations worldwide—the highest level of travel freedom globally.

Japan, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates share second place, each providing access to 187 countries without the need for a visa. Norway and Switzerland follow closely, with access to 185 destinations.

The report highlights the continued dominance of European nations in passport strength, with the European Union averaging visa-free access to 183 countries—on par with Malaysia and the United Kingdom.

At the lower end of the ranking, Afghanistan remains at the bottom, with visa-free access to just 23 countries. Syria and Iraq occupy the second and third lowest positions respectively, while Pakistan ranks fourth among the weakest passports.

The disparity in passport strength is largely attributed to factors such as political instability, ongoing conflicts and increasing migration pressures.
