Man killed after being hit by car of CM Maryam's security squad

A young man riding a motorbike was allegedly killed when a speedy car, which was part of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz's security protocol, hit him in Narowal, it emerged on Thursday.

According to DPO Narowal, the incident occurred this morning (March 18) in the Chandowal area when the CM Punjab's security squad's vehicle allegedly collided with a motorcycle.

The vehicles were en route to Kartarpur for the Chief Minister's security when the elite force car reportedly overtook and hit the motorcycle.

The deceased identified as Abu Bakar succumbed to injuries on the spot, while his friend remained unharmed.

However, CM Maryam's car was not with security protocol when the incident happened.

The DPO informed the media that an FIR was registered at the request of the victim's family. 

Following the investigation, legal action will be taken against those found responsible, DPO added.
