WhatsApp unveils four new features for users worldwide

WhatsApp has introduced four new features for users worldwide, including the ability for iPad users to create and use accounts directly on their devices without first linking them to a mobile phone.

Under the update, iPad users can now complete the registration process directly on their tablets and begin using the messaging app immediately.

The platform has also expanded support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing users to listen to and reply to messages hands-free while driving. The update also enables users to make calls, view call history and access favourite contacts through their vehicle's display.

WhatsApp has improved its PDF functionality by allowing users to open PDF files within the app without downloading them. Basic editing tools, including highlighting text and adding notes, have also been introduced.

In another update, users of Apple Music and Spotify can now share the songs they are currently listening to directly to their WhatsApp Status.

According to WhatsApp, the new features are being rolled out gradually to users worldwide.
