Zaka Ashraf's alleged CV showing cricket as his hobby goes viral

Pakistan Cricket Board's managing committee head Zaka Ashraf's alleged CV is being shared on social media platform X, showing cricket as his hobby.

The alleged CV shared by journalist Arfa Feroz Zake shows cricket as Zaka Ashraf's hobby.

The development follows after Jamaat-e-Islami Senator Mushtaq Ahmed raised a question about the appointment of a permanent PCB chief in the Senate, the upper house of Pakistan's Parliament. 

Mushtaq claimed a man whose hobby is cricket had been given charge of the Pakistan Cricket Board.

He said the standards of Pakistan's cricket is going down like hockey. 

In June 2023, Zaka Ashraf was nominated by the Pakistan People's Party for the position of chairman PCB opposite to Najam Sethi.

On 20 June 2023, Najam Sethi announced his withdrawal from PCB chairmanship race.

On the same day, Zaka Ashraf was appointed as the member of the Pakistan Cricket Board Board of Governors. On 6 July 2023, he assumed his role as the Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board's managing committee by replacing Najam Sethi.
