Apple has officially announced the date for its annual iPhone-centric event, which is being dubbed "It's Glowtime" this year.
The highly anticipated event is scheduled for September 9 and will be held at the Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California, beginning at 10 a.m. Pacific Standard Time.
At this year's event, Apple is expected to unveil several exciting new devices, including the iPhone 16 lineup, new Apple Watch models, and the AirPods 4. Additionally, the tech giant is likely to announce the official release dates for iOS 18, macOS Sequoia, and other forthcoming software updates, as reported by MacRumors.
The iPhone 16 series is anticipated to introduce several new features, including a customizable Action Button and a new Capture Button designed specifically for photography.
These buttons will include built-in gestures, such as swiping to zoom in and out or softly pressing to autofocus, enhancing the user experience. The Capture Button will be located on the right side of the devices, just below the power button.
All models in the iPhone 16 lineup will be powered by the new A18 chip, which will support advanced Apple Intelligence features coming with iOS 18.
While the standard iPhone 16 models are not expected to receive significant new features, the Pro models will see an increase in display size, with the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max expanding to 6.3 and 6.9 inches, respectively, up from the previous 6.1 and 6.7 inches.
