Google most visited website followed by YouTube and Facebook

Currently, there are over 1.9 billion websites on the internet, but only a select few dominate online traffic. According to traffic analytics data from Semrush, a leading digital marketing platform, Google topped the list in November 2024.
Generally, the most visited websites are categorised into three main types: search engines, social media platforms, and online news sources, which contribute significantly to the increasing number of visitors to these sites
The data reveals that Google received approximately 132.3 billion visits worldwide from a global population of 8 billion people.
YouTube, also operated by Alphabet Inc., followed closely with 72 billion visitors, highlighting its dominance in the online space.
In third place, Facebook garnered up to 12.9 billion visitors by November 2024. Meanwhile, Elon Musk's microblogging site, X, attracted around 300 million users.
The popular messaging application WhatsApp ranked lower on the list with 390 million active users. Other well-known websites, including ChatGPT, Yahoo.com, and Amazon, each attracted around 370 million visitors, placing them within the top ten.
Additionally, the video platform TikTok and the entertainment site Netflix secured spot among the top twenty websites
