WhatsApp’s new feature will now inform users about their birthdays

Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is set to roll out a new feature that is tied to artificial intelligence, the feature is called Chat Memory.

Meta AI’s chat memory feature will automatically remember the details that the user has shared on WhatsApp. This information can include the user’s vegetarian status, birthday, preferred conversation mode and even hobbies.

By remembering these details, MetaAI can make relevant suggestions that are more relevant to the user.

The feature aims to make Meta AI function more like a personal assistant, enhancing the overall user experience

Currently, the WhatsApp update is available for Android users only on the beta version.

However, Meta has not yet made an official announcement regarding its release date or availability.

Earlier, the messaging platform had introduced a voice chat mode, which will allow users to communicate with MetaAI by speaking instead of typing. 

Last week, the messaging app announced to roll out contact storage feature.

With the new feature, you'll be able to add and manage contacts directly from WhatsApp Web, Windows, and other linked devices using your keyboard.
