10-year-old girl found dead in tuition centre washroom in Lahore

A 10-year-old girl was found dead in the washroom of a tuition centre in Lahore's Khaira area on Wednesday, prompting police to launch an investigation into the suspected murder.

According to police officials, the child, identified as Naima, had left her home to attend tuition classes but did not return. Her body was later discovered inside the washroom of the tuition centre.

Preliminary findings revealed marks on the girl's neck, leading investigators to suspect that she may have been strangled. However, authorities said the exact cause of death will be determined after a post-mortem examination.

Police immediately cordoned off the area after receiving information about the incident and began collecting evidence from the scene.

Senior police officers, including the SP Model Town and ASP Gulberg, visited the tuition centre to oversee the investigation and review the initial findings.

According to the SP Model Town, the child's body has been shifted to the morgue for an autopsy, which is expected to provide further details regarding the circumstances surrounding her death.

Police said legal proceedings have been initiated, and investigators are examining all aspects of the case, including questioning staff members and reviewing available evidence to determine how the incident occurred and identify those responsible.
