7-year-old domestic help raped in Punjab's Multan

In a harrowing case, a 7-year-old girl employed as a domestic help at a house in Multan was allegedly raped by an unknown man, it emerged on Wednesday.

According to reports, the incident took place in Shah Rukn-e-Alam Colony on Wednesday night.

The victim was rushed to Nishtar Hospital Multan last night, where her condition remains unstable.

The minor girl's mother told police that she had sent her daughter to work at the suspect woman's, whose identity was not disclosed, house last month.

However, two days ago on Monday, the owner handed the girl back to her mother, who found her daughter scared, uncommunicative, and in a distressing state.

The minor househelp's mother said that her daughter was sexually assaulted at the woman's house.

The police have registered a case against the woman on the complaint of the victim's mother.

The law enforcers are awaiting the medical report to proceed with further action.
