Punjab police successfully rescued Constable Ahmed Nawaz, who had been abducted by bandits in the Kacha area, 'in exchange for a prisoner'.
The constable was taken captive two days ago after the bandits killed 13 policemen in an attack on police vehicles with rockets in Rahim Yar Khan.
Sources reveal that a deal between the police and the bandits led to the constable's release, with convicted murderer Jabbar Lolai reportedly freed from jail in exchange.
The police spokesperson confirmed the safe recovery of Constable Ahmed Nawaz following the operation in Kacha. The rescue has brought immense relief and joy to his family.
DPO Sadiqabad Rizwan Umar Gondal emphasised that the safe recovery of Constable Ahmed Nawaz was the police's top priority.
The DPO added that the police remain firmly stationed in Kacha, with high morale and a strong resolve to rid the area of criminals.
Gondal also remarked that the operation was a significant achievement for the police and reaffirmed their commitment to their mission of eradicating banditry from the Kacha area.
