Belgian female tourist allegedly raped in Islamabad

A disturbing incident involving the alleged rape of a Belgian female tourist has come to light in Islamabad.

The victim, a 28-year-old Belgian national, was discovered bound hand and foot in Sector G-6 of the federal capital. Initial reports indicate that the woman claimed she had been subjected to sexual assault for five days.

The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Aabpara Police Station, according to police sources. The victim has been taken to Polyclinic Hospital for a medical examination.

Following the woman's statement, police arrested a suspect identified as Tameezuddin, a resident of Sector G-6. Tameezuddin has claimed that the woman is mentally ill. However, police noted that the woman was found without any identification or travel documents.
