A local court in Karachi has granted a two-day physical remand of Salman Farooqi, who tortured a young man in front of his sisters over claims of reckless driving that resulted in a dent to Farooqi’s Mercedes in Defence Ittehad Commercial.
Farooqui, who was arrested on Monday in Karachi, was produced before the court, where his counsel, Advocate Naeem Qureshi, filed a bail application. However, the court rejected the bail plea.
Considering the police's request for further investigation, the court handed over Salman Farooqi to the police for a two-day physical remand.
Earlier, on Monday, Sindh Police had arrested Salman Farooqi, the main accused in the Defence assault case, after a video showing him violently attacking a motorcyclist went viral on social media, sparking nationwide outrage.
