DIG South assures full protection to victims of DHA Karachi torture incident

Dheeraj and Kalpana, the victims of the violence that occurred in the Karachi DHA's Ittehad Commercial area, met with DIG South along with their family.
The affected family, residents of Ranchor Line, was initially unable to come forward due to fear and pressure. However, after receiving assurance of full cooperation and protection from the police, the family has now formally approached law enforcement.
Their statements will be recorded as part of the ongoing investigation.
DIG South assured the family that they have nothing to fear, stating, "Sindh Police stands with you and will ensure your complete security."
The Chief Minister of Sindh has established Victim Support Units across all ranges and districts. These units are dedicated to supporting victims and ensuring swift justice.
He asserted, "Respect and dignity for women are fundamental values of Sindh's land. Those who mistreat women will be made an example of."

Significant progress has been made in the investigation. So far, four suspects, including the main accused, have been arrested.
A strong case is being built based on CCTV footage and other concrete evidence to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice in accordance with the law.
At the conclusion of the meeting, DIG South presented the affected family with traditional Sindhi gifts – Ajrak and Topi – as a gesture of respect. The family expressed deep gratitude to the Sindh Government and Sindh Police for their support and efforts.
