Domestic help brutally tortured by her employer in Lahore

In a shocking incident, a domestic worker was allegedly beaten up by her employer in Lahore, it emerged on Saturday.

According to police, the harrowing incident took place in a private housing society near the airport area in the provincial capital.

The victim, whose identity was not disclosed by the police, was working at a woman's house in Askrai X area and was regularly punished by her employer through physical abuse.

The woman was arrested by the police after the neighbours filed a complaint against her at a Shumali Chowni police station.

The housemaid was also recovered by the police and was shifted to Services Hospital Lahore for medical assistance.

In her complaint, the victim told police that she was beaten up with sticks by her employer.

The suspect also forced the domestic help to drink hot water, as alleged by the victim herself.

The torture marks were also visible on the body of the victim, police said.

However, the law enforcers have registered a case against the house owner and are investigating the matter.
