Acting on the directives of the Director FIA Karachi Zone and under the supervision of the Deputy Director Immigration Karachi, the FIA Immigration Wing offloaded three women who were travelling to Saudi Arabia on Umrah visas after their travel details raised suspicion, an FIA spokesperson said.
The women were identified as Muskan, daughter of Allah Ditta; Nasreen Nadeem, wife of Muhammad Nadeem; and Sawera, wife of Muhammad Kamran.
According to the spokesperson, all three women were travelling on Pakistani passports with Umrah visas.
During the immigration clearance process, they were stopped for further screening and questioning.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Muskan alleged her husband had previously arranged clients for her in various parts of Sindh for immoral activities.
She further stated that she later worked at a spa and massage centre in Karachi's Defence area, where she became acquainted with the other two women.
Muskan also admitted that she had previously been arrested on prostitution-related charges in Karachi's Defence area and had served one month in prison.
The FIA spokesperson said that Sawera's mobile phone contained a rate list allegedly linked to immoral activities, along with WhatsApp records.
Sawera reportedly told investigators that for the past two years she had worked as an online customer service representative for the spa centre, connecting female workers with clients in exchange for a commission of Rs2,000 per client.
Meanwhile, suspicious WhatsApp conversations were recovered from Nasreen Nadeem's mobile phone with individuals in Saudi Arabia identified as Majid, Murtaza, Altaf, Salman (an Indian national), Imran, Faisal and Khurram.
According to the FIA, the chats included discussions about sending women to Saudi Arabia, hawala/hundi transactions, and arrangements for accommodation and transportation in the Kingdom.
The spokesperson said preliminary findings indicate evidence of an organised network allegedly using Umrah visas to send women to Saudi Arabia for commercial sexual exploitation.
The three women were offloaded and transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Karachi for further investigation and legal proceedings, the FIA spokesperson added.
