Girl shot dead on her wedding day in Lahore

Lahore: A 24-year-old woman was shot dead by unknown motorcyclists at her home in the Sundar area of Lahore on Thursday, the day of her wedding.

According to police, the victim, Ayesha, daughter of Habib, was fatally shot in the head.

Authorities have collected evidence from the crime scene and are investigating the case from multiple angles.

In another tragic incident, a speeding car ran over and killed two young women, aged between 18 and 20 years, on the motorway near Thokar Niaz Beg on Tuesday.

Despite 24 hours passing, their identities remain unknown. Meanwhile, Hanjarwal police are still searching for the driver responsible for the accident.

The police shifted the bodies to Jinnah Hospital soon after the accident and have launched an investigation, not ruling out the possibility of murder.
