Lahore police have successfully dismantled a "Fake Marriage" racket by arresting four key members of the gang, including a bride and a Nikah Khawan.
The Organized Crime Unit (OCU) of Punjab Police carried out a raid in the Defence area, uncovering a scheme in which innocent families were lured into fake marriage promises, only for other gang members to rob the groom's family.
According to police officials, the gang's modus operandi involved taking the groom’s family hostage and escaping with the bride.
During the raid, authorities recovered significant amounts of cash, gold ornaments, and a bridal dress from the criminals' possession.
