Quetta’s Government Girls Middle School in Killi Ibrahimzai, located on Barori Road, faced a major disruption when the property owner locked the premises due to prolonged non-payment of rent by the education department, forcing students and teachers out of the building.

According to the owner, repeated appeals were made to the relevant authorities regarding the unpaid dues, but no action was taken.

He also claimed that as part of the rental agreement, one of his family members was to be given employment by the education department—an assurance that was never fulfilled.

Following the incident, Balochistan’s Provincial Minister for Health, Bakht Muhammad Kakar, personally contacted the property owner and assured him that the outstanding rent would be paid from his own pocket.

The minister stated that education and health remain top priorities for the government and pledged swift resolution of related issues.

Subsequently, he ensured the reopening of the school, allowing academic activities to resume—a move welcomed with relief by students and their families.
