Peshawar man shoots newly-wed wife to death after quarrel

A man, in connivance with his brother, allegedly killed his wife over a family dispute in Peshawar.

According to the police, the suspect opened fire at his wife and her brother after a quarrel. Consequently, the woman died on the spot while her brother sustained bullet injuries.

The couple had got married only three months ago.

The police said the woman called her brother after a quarrel with her husband. She was leaving home with her brother when the man and his brother opened fire on them.

The suspects fled the crime scene after the incident. However, a case has been registered against him and his brother at the Sarband police station with raids underway to arrest them.

A day earlier, a similar incident occurred in Punjab’s Khurrianwala, in which a man strangled his wife to death with a scarf in a connivance with his family.

The suspect along with his brother and parents allegedly tortured and strangled the victim, Shumaila, with a scarf for having frequent arguments with her husband.
