14 dead bodies found in different areas of Karachi in last 24 hours

At least 14 bodies were found in different parts of Karachi in 24 hours, however, the reasons behind the deaths remained unknown, said the rescue and police official.

According to an official from the Edhi Foundation Azeem Khan, the deaths were caused due to the hot weather conditions.

He said most of the deceased were drug addicts, and consumption of high heat with their weak lungs caused their deaths. 

The official believed that the number of fatalities has been increasing in Karachi since the beginning of the extra hot summer. 

He added that they were receiving two to four bodies of drug addicts from different areas of the metropolis regularly. 

However, government hospital officials have not disclosed the caused of the deaths yet.

The rescuers found at least ten bodies from afternoon to night on Sunday, while four more were discovered on Monday morning.

According to them, three bodies were discovered on the footpath of KMC ground at Lyari’s Lashari Muhalla.

Meanwhile, other nine bodies were brought from Golimar, Jahangir Road, Landhi, Godam Chowrangi, Defence Phase 7, Orangi Town Sector 15, and Khamiso Goth.

Two bodies were found from the Shanti Nagar area within the limits of the Aziz Bhatti police station, and one Mehmoodabad No 1.
