Karachi: Influential man assaults biker in front of his family after minor accident

An influential man reportedly identified as Salman Farooqui, owner of the production house Bionic Films, was caught on camera assaulting a motorcyclist following a minor collision at Ittehad Commercial in Defence Phase 6.

After his car was slightly hit by the motorbike, Farooqui reacted vi0lently. He reportedly forced the biker to sit inside his vehicle and physically assaulted him.

A video of the incident went viral on social media, sparking public outrage. Netizens strongly criticised Farooqui’s aggressive response to a minor accident as he took the law into his own hands.

In the video, the biker’s sister can be seen pleading with Farooqui with folded hands, begging him to spare her brother. Despite her emotional appeals and continuous apologies, Farooqui continued the assault. Bystanders stood by and watched the incident unfold without intervening.

Karachi police launched a search operation for the influential man who was caught on camera assaulting a motorcyclist following a minor collision at Ittehad Commercial in Defence Phase 6. .

According to SSP South Mahzoor Ali, the suspect has been identified, and a raid was conducted at his office, which was found closed. Multiple raids are now underway to apprehend the accused.

The SSP further stated that no official complaint has yet been registered with the police, and efforts are ongoing to locate the victim and his family.

Authorities have assured that legal action will be taken once contact is made with the victim’s family.
